Check out Andrea’s amazing review of what it was like working with us:
Q&A with Andrea + Jimmy:
1) Looking back, what were some of your favorite parts or moments of the Wedding day?
My favorite part of the day was when I finally got to see Jimmy at the front of the church for the first time that day. All the speeches were also part of our favorite moments because they were so funny and thoughtful. But, the one that stood out the most to me was Jimmy’s toast. He is so eloquent and compassionate. It reminded me why I want to spend the rest of my life with him, and that, I will never forget.
2) What was your favorite piece of fashion or accessory, and where did you get it?
My something new was a pair of fabulous gold, sparkly Jimmy Choo heels. They made me feel amazing. I picked those up with my mom at Neiman Marcus. She’s always been my favorite shopping buddy. But, I also really loved my something borrowed. It was a vintage clutch that was Jimmy’s Yia Yia’s that his mom and sister graciously lent me.
3) What was the inspiration for your decor or styling?
I was inspired by our reception venue for our decor. The Kimpton Hotel Allegro is absolutely beautiful. It radiates an art deco and vintage glam vibe. It’s sophisticated but modern. We used the marble floors of the hotel as inspiration for our invitations that had a marble effect on the card stock. There are a lot of gold accents throughout the hotel like the patterned elevator doors to amazing light fixtures that served as inspiration. We used gold vases and stands with our floral design. I also was inspired by our mediterranean heritage. So, I wanted to incorporate olive leaves into the centerpieces, bouquets, and flower girl crowns. Our wedding favors were little bottles of olive oil for guests to take home.
4) Mention a funny moment here:
Right after the ceremony when we were on the party bus, and we put the song “The Middle” on. One of our flower girls, Paige, jumped up and belted the whole song. Everyone was clapping along with her and having a great time. She new every single word and wasn’t even four yet at the time. Another funny moment was finding out from the pictures that a limbo line happened. It must have been when we were doing our night shot with Victoria. We were laughing at all of those photos.
5) Any wedding advice for engaged couples?
My best piece of advice is to not seek out too many opinions when trying to make wedding related decisions. The only decisions that matter are you and your partner’s. Don’t try to make your wedding into something you’ve seen before. Just try to make it true to you guys and have it reflect things you like and value. One piece of organizational advice would be to set up a wedding email account. It dramatically helps to keep the wedding correspondence separate from your daily life. If you have it all in your regular account, it gets overwhelming. Leave it separate so that when you’re ready to sit down and do your planning for the day, you have it ready in one place. Signing up for the Knot or Wedding Wire also helps because they give you checklists along the way as well as excellent vendor suggestions.
6) Tell us about the honeymoon!
Jimmy and I took a little trip to Palm Springs the day after the wedding for 4 days. It was wonderful to get away for a little bit and relax. We laid in the sun, went to the spa, and tried to catch up on sleep. It was amazing! We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage, and we absolutely loved it. The room they gave us was the same as our wedding date (11-17), and they constantly made us feel so welcomed. We plan on taking a longer honeymoon in June 2019 to an island off of Greece and to the Amalfi Coast in Italy, a nod to the countries our grandparents are from.
7) What was it like working with Sprung Photo?
Victoria and her team were absolutely amazing throughout the wedding process from the time that we met with her from the first time until midnight on our wedding day. Sprung Photo conducts business in a very professional manner but still makes the whole process seem highly personal. Victoria delivered all of our wedding photos back in record time. Everyone was so impressed by the quality and creativity. It was an absolutely pleasure working with her team.
