Lauren and Eric at Heritage Prairie Farm in Elburn, Illinois

Lauren and Eric are amazing together. Talk about chemistry! It was so fun walking around the gorgeous Heritage Prairie Farm with them, taking intimate portraits of just the two of them. Instead of a formal Wedding party, Lauren and Eric chose to have their Parents and Step-Parents stand up for them. It was so touching and meaningful. And they did such a great job with their ‘rustic chic’ decor! Here are some words from the Bride and Groom, and some eye candy for you!

Looking back, what was your favorite part or moment of the Wedding day?
Eric liked the closing of the ceremony and cocktail hour. For Lauren it was walking down the aisle and all of the anticipation over several months that suddenly vanished.

What was your favorite piece of fashion or accessory, and where did you get it?
Lauren – my dress, definitely my dress. I was just in love. My accessories from BHLDN were a close second. Eric – custom suit from Zeglio of Chicago.

What was the inspiration for your decor or styling?
I saw a gold wall of mirrors in a magazine and everything took off from there – rustic chic.

Mention a funny moment here:
The band requested crowd participation and Eric’s stepdad sang on stage with them – he did an awesome job. And the personal sarcasm by my dad in the ceremony.

Any advice for future Brides and Grooms?
Eat some dinner! Slow it down and enjoy the evening.
