Top Outdoor Chicago Family Photo Locations

 

What are some of the best places in Chicago to take family photos? 

 

Let me ask you… what kind of feeling are you going for? Nature and greenery? Lake or river? Skyline? My favorite spots encompass multiple vibes! 🙂  Here’s a list of some of my favorite family photography session locations!

 

Here are some classic spots:

 

Olive Park

Near Navy Pier and Ohio Street Beach, Olive Park is a fantastic place for your family session. It has a gorgeous skyline view, a long tree-lined walkway, and lots of little picturesque spots. Being adjacent to the beach, we can also take some photos along the lake!

 

Museum Campus

The stretch in between the Adler Planetarium and the Shedd Aquarium has one of the best views of the skyline in town. It also has park areas, and of course a beautiful view of Lake Michigan.

 

Lincoln Park

There are a ton of great places in Lincoln Park for family photos! The most popular spots are: South Pond by the Zoo, North Pond by the Nature Museum, and the area by the Conservatory.

 

 

Here are a couple that are little further out:

 

Montrose Beach

This spot is a little farther North, and absolutely gorgeous! Not only do you have the view of the skyline and lake from the North, but there are beautiful park and beach areas, and even a bird sanctuary!

 

Ping Tom Park

On the Chicago River, Ping Tom Park has a gorgeous view of the skyline from the South, beautiful park areas, and interesting art such as gorgeous murals.

 

 

I bet you didn’t know about…

 

Palmer Square Park

A cute little park in Logan Square. Lots of room to play, some adorable Velveteen Rabbit inspired playground toys and art, and tons of greenery.
