Kathryn & Kevin are lovely people, who had an extremely fun and lively wedding. Taking place at one of my favorite venues, not only was everything gorgeous, but it was also just a total blast to capture. Check out some of my favorite photos, and read on for the story of the day!
Q&A with Kathryn + Kevin:
1) Looking back, what were some of your favorite parts or moments of the Wedding day?
Our favorite moments of the day were doing the first look which we both agree relieved a lot of the pressure and nervousness and, dancing with everyone after all the “to do’s” were complete.
2) What was your favorite piece of fashion or accessory, and where did you get it?
Favorite accessory was my headband from BHLDN and Kevin’s was the custom cuff links I gifted him from David Yurman. {see photos below!}
3) What was the inspiration for your decor or styling?
We/I had envisioned an evening romantic garden celebration with lots of greenery white flowers with lots of candles and gold accents. For styling we kept it fairly traditional with the tuxes and added the modern touch of doing them in a midnight blue. For the bridal party we choose a different color for every girl and they got to pick whatever dress they were most comfortable in and they turned out awesome!
4) Mention a funny moment here:
So many, but one of my favorites was when we were taking bridesmaid photos and I accidentally sneezed on my sister in law resulting in some wet spots on her dress. Luckily they dried but the photos that came from us laughing about it are some of my favorites from the day. {see photos below!}
5) Any wedding advice for engaged couples?
Don’t sweat the small stuff!!! At the end of the day you’ll be married to the love of your life, don’t let the planning or day of inconveniences get in the way of you enjoying the experience. Second, do a first look! You get to relieve some of the anxiety and nerves by seeing each other, it does not ruin the walking down the aisle moment (Kevin was more emotional seeing me walk down the aisle then the first look.) You also get to go enjoy the cocktail hour with your guests and your wedding party will thank you!
6) Tell us about the honeymoon plans!
Two days after our wedding we went to Italy for two weeks, it was amazing! Highly recommend honeymooning immediately after wedding, whether its a mini-moon or a few weeks, enjoy your time together and rest!
7) What was it like working with Sprung Photo?
From our first phone conversation I felt at ease with the professionalism and knowledge that Victoria showed. From planning the photography timeline to the day off everything went seamless and we couldn’t have been happier.
