We photographed Annie & Anthony’s rehearsal dinner and wedding this weekend at the incredible Chicago Athletic Association. We took this one before their rehearsal dinner, on the bocce courts!
For Photographers: It was very crowded in the Lobby and game room that night because, well, the CAA is awesome. I thought to myself “how can I get a good shot without all these people in it?” Well, it wasn’t going to be possible, so I just decided to make the crowd part of the image! These nice people let us use the back of the court while they were playing, and I thought it looked cool with the bocce action actually happening, too.
Settings: ISO 6400, f/2.8, 1/60th shutter, flash on manual power at 128th, 63mm on the 24-70mm ii canon f/2.8 lens. The flash is placed to camera right, aimed high and pointed down, with a MagMod MagGrid to isolate just the couple.
