How I Shot It: Photography Tutorial 7

For this shot, I had to get myself into a really weird position and use every bit of ab and arm strength to hold it. 😸 I also confused the heck out of the sweet older lady who was the organist.

 

I had about negative zero minutes to set this shot up, so having a setup that is fast was essential. Single MagMod MagGrid on a flash at the end of the aisle to their left. I was shooting up in the balcony of the Church, near the organist. I used a little mirror to reflect the organist’s hand and keyboard into the lens, and that’s her mirror that she used to see the aisle that reflected the bride and her mom walking down.

  • Canon 24-70mm ii lens at f/2.8 and 55mm, Canon 5d mark 3, iso 250, shutter 1/200th.
  • Post processing: color adjusting and dodging and burning in Lightroom.
