I had so much fun experiencing Lina and Porta’s journey from being Engaged to getting Married. They are kind, funny, and have SUCH a great energy together. This was my last Wedding of 2013, and it was quite a send off! Here are some words from the Bride and Groom, and of course….tons of photos!
Q&A with Lina and Porta:
Looking back, what were some of your favorites parts/moments of the Wedding day?
We couldn’t have imagined a better day, everything just turned out great. The surprise flashmob by our wedding guests floored us. The energy was just so vibrant. And also being able to spend 15 minutes alone after the ceremony to soak in the moment was great.
What was your favorite piece of fashion or accessory, and where did you get it?
Lina’s veil from Beholden and shawl from BCBG were rockstars.
Porta also like having slightly different bow ties for each groomsman to add some personality. They were tiebar.com
What was the inspiration for your decor or styling?
We wanted our style to be reflected throughout the day.
So trying to keep things simple, but elegant.
Mention a funny moment here:
We stole a few kisses during the ceremony before we were “official”.
To the point where we heard our parents whisper “Not yet.. too early!”
Any advice for future Wedding Couples?
Pad your schedule for the day by at least an hour. Something is bound to come up.
And if it doesn’t then use that time to soak in the moment.
The day goes by really fast, so make sure you give yourselves some alone time after the ceremony to bask in the moment.
Where did you go on honeymoon, and tell us a little about it!
We went to Belize! Spent 4 days in the jungles of the Cayo district hiking through rainforests, Mayan ruins, and exploring the waterways of the ATM cave.
After which we went to “relax” at the beach village of Placencia where we discovered our love for scuba diving (Splash Dives is a great company to dive with). Belize is home to the second largest barrier reef in the world. Such a friendly people, everyone we met was proud to show off what their country has to offer. And it has a LOT to offer.
