Hands down, my favorite MagMod tool is the MagGrid. I use it for nearly every shoot.
For this shot, I wanted to show the silhouette of the Chicago skyline juxtaposed with the processional at the Ceremony going on inside.
How it was done:
- Shot from outside the Adler Planetarium, I had to control the light so that it didn’t light up the whole room, thereby erasing the silhouette reflected on the windows.
- I put my trusty MagGrid on my flash (tucked in the camera left corner inside the building), and I was able to get what I wanted!
